Mr. Phillips has 24 years of law enforcement, fire service, and insurance special investigation experience. Mr. Phillips has held multiple positions including National Fire Investigations Manager for the largest private investigations firm in the world, providing forensic subject matter services for insurers, third-party administrators, self-insured corporations, government, and insurance defense law firms. Mr. Phillips has conducted and/or supervised the investigation of over 2,000 fire/explosion events both nationally and internationally.  

Mr. Phillips has conducted over 1,500 technical reviews of expert fire/explosion analyses. To date, Mr. Phillips has completed over 4,000 hours of specialized training courses conducted by international / national organizations and public safety academies. Mr. Phillips has lectured at numerous venues as a subject matter expert in Forensic Fire/Explosion Investigation, Post-Blast Investigation, Hazardous Materials, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Weapons of Mass Destruction Investigation, and Property Fraud Special Investigations. Mr. Phillips has qualified as a subject matter expert witness in state and federal court in criminal and civil matters.
