Standards on Confidentiality

4.2.1.

The Forensic Investigations Group, LLC, including its principals, employees, and subcontracted agents shall be responsible, through legally enforceable commitments, for the management of all information obtained or created during the course of all forensic examinations and investigations.

Except for information that the client makes publicly available, or when agreed between the Forensic Investigations Group, LLC and the client, all information is considered proprietary information and shall be regarded as confidential.

4.2.2.

When the Forensic Investigations Group, LLC is required by law or authorized by contractual commitments to release confidential information, the client or individual concerned shall be notified of the release of information, unless prohibited by law.

4.2.3.

Information about a client, or their insured, obtained from sources other than the client (e.g. witnesses, government agencies, regulatory agencies, etc.) shall be treated as confidential and shall not be released to the public unless legally obligated or mutually agreed to by the client.

4.2.4.

Except as authorized by the principals of Forensic Investigations Group, LLC or required by law, no employee or subcontracted agent shall release information to the public, media or other outside entity, regarding an assignment or contract, or potential assignment or contract to conduct a forensic investigation or consultation.

Additionally, the following statement is included in all reports: 

THIS REPORT FURNISHED AS PRIVILEGED AND CONFIDENTIAL TO ADDRESSEE. RELEASE TO ANY OTHER COMPANY, CONCERN, OR INDIVIDUAL IS SOLELY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ADDRESSEE.
